MS1224 12x4
ACTIVE MIC SPLITTER SYSTEM £1,799.00 MS1224PS
POWER SUPPLY & MONITOR UNIT FOR 4 x MS1224
£499.00 MS1224PS-BU
BACK-UP POWER SUPPLY UNIT FOR MS1224 £499.00
The MS1224 is a 12 channel, 1 into 4 Unity Gain Active Microphone
Splitter designed for applications where multiple feeds are
required from one set of microphones without the signal
degradation experienced with passive splitting solutions. The
Unity Gain design principle combined with excellent line driving
ability ensures that unity levels are delivered at the end of each
feed, even over considerable distance, thereby saving time in
recalibrating levels.
Each of the MS1224's channels has four independently buffered,
transformer balanced outputs and a fifth dedicated parallel Link
output. The Link output may be used to provide a direct, non
active feed, for instance to the FOH console, or it can be used to
daisy chain adjacent channels to provide more output feeds from a
single microphone, for instance for Press Box applications. The
inputs are electronically balanced with a Pad switch for
connection of line level signals. Switchable Phantom Power is
provided with a Phantom Presence LED.
The MS1224 incorporates a channel monitoring circuit, which is
accessed on the PSU unit. Each channel has a Listen button that
connects it momentarily both to an LED bargraph and headphone
socket on the PSU front panel. The headphone monitor circuit
incorporates a dynamics enhancement and protection system. This
controls the dynamics of the signal in a way that amplifies very
low background levels whilst limiting high signal levels. This
enables monitoring of microphone function during set up without
the need of a vocalist being present on the mic. It also provides
user protection against sudden loud signals.
A unique design feature of the MS1224 is the option to configure
the way that Input and Output connectors are presented on the
front and rear of the unit. As each customer has their own views
on this we have given the flexibility of presenting the Input and
two Outputs on the front and three Outputs on the rear, or
vice-versa. In addition the Output designated as Link can be
positioned either below the Input connector, or the top connector
of the group of three Outputs. Thereby giving four possible
permutations. The required configuration can be specified ex-works
or simply reconfigured at a later stage.

linked channels affect compression equally. Each channel has fully
variable controls for Threshold, Ratio, Release and Gain. The
compression slope can be switched between Hard or Soft knee, with
Hard knee providing tight control of compression Ratio and Soft
knee a more progressive style of compression. Two Attack/Release
modes are available; Auto (program dependant) Attack/Release or
Auto Attack with manuallly adjustable Release. A low frequency
Program filter can be switched into the sidechain to reduce the
effects of bass heavy material causing over compression. Each
channel also has a sidechain insert jack. Gain Reduction is
displayed on an 8 segment LED bargraph. The Bypass and Link
switches also have led indicators. All Inputs and Outputs are
electronically balanced and can be switched between +4dBu and

CAN-D
HEADPHONE DELAY £225.00
Youre mixing FOH for a gig. That means the speakers are over
there, and youre over here. Is it any wonder that your headphones
sound confusing?
We all know that even short distances cause time delays. As a
consequence, listening on headphones when youre any distance from
the stage will leave you with a confused mess of direct and
delayed sound.
Enter Can-D. Its simple really; Can-D delays your headphones so
that they match the sound from the speakers. With delay times of
up to 678ms, you can be 226m from the stage and still wallow in
the sweet sound of time-coherent cans.
And if you like your cans exceptionally loud, youll be happy to
know that with Can-Ds substantial headphone amplifier, 9 out of
10 engineers found full volume to be 'unbearably loud'. *
Of course, Can-D is rock-solid and tour-proof; its internal PSU
and solid aluminium case ensure its ready for anything you can
throw at it. Or anything you can throw it at.
Loud and clear sweet. Can-D
*HEALTH WARNING: Your hearing can be permanently damaged when
exposed to excessive sound levels, especially when combined with
prolonged listening periods. Listen sensibly.

£250.00
Finding a fault in a large audio system can be a real pain,
particularly if its to do with phase or polarity. Such problems
are difficult to isolate without spending precious time
re-plugging and testing.
Often imitated, but never bettered, the LA Audio Phase Checking
system's wide band pulse can detect polarity inversions both
acoustically and electronically irrespective of distance or time
delay, making it easy to isolate cable, speaker or processor
faults quickly.
The PC90 is the latest incarnation of this advanced system,
capable of measuring phase accuracy in any audio system. The
separate emitter and receiver can be placed anywhere throughout an
audio system, using either its internal speaker and microphone, or
a balanced XLR connection.
As soon as the emitter eeks out its little pulse, the receiver
will indicate whether the signal is received in or out of phase.
Barely seconds later, when your problem has been solved, the two
units couple together, ready to be thrown into your pocket or
toolbox.
So, if you need a time saving, hassle free, rock solid and cool
looking little audio friend, look no further than PC90.
