Proel Sound Processors

ASO25
The ASO25 Active System Optimizer is developed by Proel to be installed in TFLV/TFL and TPRMARKII sound systems, to optimize the signal and obtain excellent levels of performance. ASO25 addresses the signal to be sent separately to the amplifier section of the high frequencies and to the amplifier section of the low frequencies. ASO25 is provided with two input channels, two outputs for the high-end, two outputs for the low-end, a further Mono Low output. The built-in 24/ dB oct crossover is Linkwitz-Riley type with frequency set at 125Hz. ASO25 is also equipped with a subsonic filter and an adjustable limiter. By intervening in the internal part of the device, it is possible to modify the frequency cut (80Hz, 125Hz, 160Hz) and insert delay lines (0, 300΅s, 600΅s). With an appropriate complementary board (on request) it is possible to add personalized parametric filters. Moreover, further internal modification permits “on air” shelving tone adjustment at 10kHz.

DSO480

PROEL continues in support of its professional customers by presenting the successor of DSO26, the new DSO480. With 4 inputs and 8 outputs, the new audio management system, offers advanced signal processing, raising the performance and equipping of extra features never before available.
• 4 inputs and 8 outputs – native processing now runs at 96 kHz resulting in wider bandwidth (over 30 kHz).
• Flexible routing matrix – in addition to standard fixed configurations such as 4 x 2 way, any output may be fed from any input or the sum of inputs. Edit buttons show routing instantly when pressed.
• 9 full bandwidth parametric bands available on every output, all switchable in high and low shelving responses.
• 8 bands of fully parametric EQ on each input channel.
• crossover filters on each output now offer 48 dB/Octave responses.
• New higher order crossover responses in the style of “NTM” or “Hardman” filters, with crossover responses above 72 dB/Octave.
• “Extended EQ Pack” – in addition to the standard EQ responses (PEQ/Shelving) EQ band may be changed to offer a variety of responses, from notch filters and bandpass filter, to phase (all pass) filters and elliptical and resonant filters.
• New additional “D-Max” limiter with look-ahead processing allows absolute loudspeaker systems protection.
• Delay memory allows for up to 650 mS from any input to any output - extra fine delay resolution on outputs in 30 nS (0.1 mm).
• Extended memory capacity – user memories now extended to a maximum of 255.
• Improved converters – dynamic range up to 116 dB, lower noise and improved distortion figures.
• AES input interface – accepts AES rates from 32 kHz up to 192 kHz via a sample rate converter.
• ALL functions are available though the front panel interface.
• Bigger 2 x 24 character display and new back-lit low profile ergonomic buttons.

EZcurve

EZcurve combines new features with superior technical specifications, in order to grant a new approach to professional equalization. EZcurve is a 1/3 ocatave twin channel graphic equalizer, yielding up to ± 10 dB gain at 30 frequencies ranging from 25 Hz and 20 kHz. The filter design has been optimised for smooth interpolation and superior performance in this price range. 45 mm faders grant excellent precision and the EZcurve also offers exceptional specs when it comes to noise and distortion. It also features a high frequency shelving filter, with HF trim, with variable gain and frequency control, which allow quick regulation of the high frequency response. This feature responds to the need of system realignment when, for example, temperature or humidity changes in the venue.

Gator

Gator provides two channels of gating and compression, with hard and soft knee operative modes. Gator allows total and instinctive control of signal dynamics for any application. The Gator features a gating circuit with selectable fast or slow release time and selectable -80 or -20 dB attenuation. It also includes the exclusive VKF (Variable Key Filter) with tuneable HPF and LPF independently assignable to the level detector of the gate or the compressor or both. This innovative system allows the action of the compressor or gate to be fine tuned to a specific frequency range. The Gator offers selectable hard or soft knee compression and a Contour filter that is designed to compensate high-end detail loss during compression of mixed programme material. The Gator’s RMS level detector circuitry allows the this dynamic processor to perceive the signal in a more musical manner, like the human ear, and offers superior results on programme and peak compression. The 8-LED meter offers precise monitoring and control of up to 30 dB variable gain reduction.
